1. What OurKitchen is
OurKitchen (ourkitchen.ai) generates weekly dinner plans and shopping lists tailored to the dietary rules, schedule, and preferences you set. OurKitchen is owned and operated by Tuxedo Dog Studios LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company, doing business as OurKitchen.ai. By creating an account you agree to these terms.
2. Your account
You need an email address to sign up. Keep your password private; you're responsible for activity under your login. A household owner may invite trusted people to share the same kitchen data; the owner controls billing and member access. You can delete your login from the Account page. Members delete only their identity; an owner who has removed all members can delete the entire household and its shared data. See the Privacy Policy.
2a. Subscriptions, trials & cancellation
- Plans. OurKitchen is a paid subscription: $6.99/month or $59.99/year, billed by Stripe. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
- Free sample week. New accounts may generate their first weekly plan free of charge, with no payment method required. One sample week per customer; continued use requires a subscription.
- Free trial. New subscribers get a 14-day free trial. A payment method is required to start it; your first charge happens when the trial ends unless you cancel first. One trial per customer.
- Cancelling. Cancel any time from the Billing page — you keep access through the end of the period you've paid for (or the trial). We don't prorate partial periods, and refunds are handled case-by-case: write support@ourkitchen.ai.
- What stops and what stays. Without an active subscription you can't generate new weeks, but everything you already created — past weeks, recipes, ratings, your pantry — remains viewable in your account.
- Founding members who joined during the closed beta keep free access for life and are never billed.
3. AI-generated content — please read this one
- Recipes are AI-generated. Use normal kitchen judgment: follow safe food-handling practices and always verify doneness (e.g. chicken to 165°F) regardless of what a recipe says.
- Dietary rules are best-effort filters, not guarantees. If you have a food allergy or medical dietary requirement, always check the ingredient list yourself before cooking or eating. Do not rely on OurKitchen for allergen safety.
- Macro estimates are rough, AI-generated approximations for general interest. They are not medical, nutritional, or dietetic advice. Consult a professional for health decisions.
4. Notifications & SMS terms
You choose how we notify you (email, text message, webhook) during setup or on your Account page. For text messages ("OurKitchen weekly meal plan alerts" — see the public Text Message Program page for the full opt-in flow):
- You'll receive recurring automated texts when your weekly plan is ready — typically 1–2 messages per week (your scheduled plan, plus any weeks you regenerate manually).
- Consent to receive texts is not a condition of using OurKitchen or of any purchase.
- Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary.
- Reply STOP to any message to cancel texts, or HELP for help. You can also clear your phone number on the Account page at any time.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service: no attempts to break authentication or access other households' data, no automated scraping or bulk generation, no using the rating/notes fields to attack the AI systems, and nothing unlawful. We may suspend accounts that do.
6. Fees & payment
Subscription pricing, the free trial, and cancellation are covered in §2a. Payments are processed by Stripe — your card details are entered on and stored by Stripe and never touch our servers. Nothing converts to paid silently: the only charges are the subscription you started yourself, on the schedule shown at checkout.
7. The service is provided "as is"
We work hard to keep OurKitchen reliable (a plan always ships), but the service is provided without warranties of any kind, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves; material changes will be flagged on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
